Dear Members
Firstly, I would like to thank you all for making me and Dragan feel so welcome at the club.
I along with Dragan and Dan hope to continue providing great quality coaching at the club with some additional changes we believe will benefit all. We are all very excited about the coming year and hope to meet you all in time.
I am passionate about developing tennis as a sport for all ages and abilities. In my experience of working with clubs, many people play tennis for a variety of reasons. Tennis can provide a competitive environment for some players, as a social outlet for others, as a friendly community for some and there are some individuals who play tennis just to keep fit. Whatever reasons people play tennis – it should be played in a friendly and engaging atmosphere and I have always worked hard to ensure that every individual of whatever standard gets as much personal enjoyment from their sport or recreation as possible and feels welcome and valued as a member of the club.
I realise that we cannot always fit in with today’s hectic schedule, but I hope that the 2012 coaching programme provides something for everyone. I have always been extremely committed to the improvement of each individual whether beginner or advanced and I’m confident that with our team of coaches we can provide a fun, energetic and passionate service at Pensford Tennis Club.
JUNIOR PROGRAMME
I intend to ensure that all children are in the correct age groups and find each class challenging and fun. In the new schedule I have provided the opportunity for each child to play more than once a week and the opportunity to join our new match play sessions on Saturday. Juniors may be requested to move up to squad level and asked to represent the club in junior Surrey Leagues.
JUNIOR REGISRATION - JANUARY 2012
I am aware that this is a new programme and along with the New Year there will be many changes between classes. In order to make the process easier I have made myself available to meet with all on Tuesday 6 December 4-6pm and Thursday 8 December 4-6pm. I will be happy to chat with you about the programme and the direction I see us taking. If you are unable to make it you can of course email me to confirm your place for 2012. Also, all children currently in squads are invited to continue in the correct age group.
ADULT COACHING
There will continue to be Pay and Play sessions and Team practice throughout the week at a cost of £10 each. I will also be launching a new adult coaching program in the spring for all levels. If you’re looking to brush up on your technique, learn to play or keep up with your children, all will be welcome.
PRIVATE LESSONS
We will all be available for private lessons on various days. Please contact us to check availability and we will be more than happy to help.
Please note: All private groups set up that are not part of the weekly coaching program will be charged at the private lesson rates and not group coaching rates.
COST
I have made some changes to the cost of coaching. Rather than having various costs for different groups and numbers, there will now be one cost for all in the hope that this provides better clarity on the pricing structure.
