GUIDANCE NOTES FOR JUNIORS & THEIR PARENTS/CARERS

We welcome you and your children to Pensford Tennis Club and hope that you will enjoy the facilities.
To keep your children and those playing at the club safe, avoid damage to club property and out of respect to other tennis players we ask you (whether you and/or your children are members of the club or not), note the following:
Please make sure you arrive to collect your child before the end of their coaching session. Coaches cannot be responsible for your children after the session has ended.
The gravel beside the courts is necessary for drainage purposes, however gravel on the courts presents a serious risk to players and can damage the playing surface. Please do not allow children to play in the gravelled area at any time.
Children who are not involved in a coaching session or playing as members of the club, should not play on the courts at any time. Playing on the courts may put your children and those using the courts at risk of injury and can damage the court surface. (Please note that only those children who are members of the club are entitled to play tennis outside of coaching sessions).
It is very distracting for those playing tennis if children are playing nearby other than very quietly. Please ensure that any children at the club who are not involved in a coaching session do not disturb tennis players using other courts.
It is dangerous to run on the decked area when it is wet as it may become slippery.
Please respect the clubhouse and toilets and make sure that you and your children leave them as you would wish to find them.
Make sure that rubbish is collected and put in the bins provided.
The rules of Pensford Field (adjacent to Pensford Tennis Club) state that children aged under 12 years must be supervised when visiting. There are dangers including a pond, bee hives and nettles and damage may accidentally be caused to the nature reserve.
